NB. Backing up your computer – just DO it………….

As Scotland finds snow and low temperatures* are maintaining a vice-like grip, my computer has been rebuilt and I can now get online again………..

The hard drive turned up its toes in a terminal fashion just days before we went to Kirkcudbright for a brief holiday.  TH kindly arranged replacement surgery while we were away, and then dealt with loading of the many essentials and necessaries (what a kind and lovely guy he is), so now I am tracing lost email addresses, etc …….. and finding this requires more time and energy than is available  just now.  It all demonstrates, rather too well, that backing up your computer is never a waste of time………

(*Temperature of -10 degrees centigrade at 5pm this evening)

It's worrying. I fear you might be living out the sci-fi film "The Day After Tomorrow". Scotland gets stuck under a cold front that just doesn't move.

Sorry that your hard drive froze. Must have been the weather and so glad you're back on blog.

Been there, got the t-shirt. I now use a device called "ClickFree". Sits in the background backing up every two hours.

It is great to restoring a computer, or transferring data to a new computer.

You will never understand Microsoft office 2007 how many people made use of many -- and also nearly all -- with the capabilities throughout Term. I'm certain them was around somewhere in the world, although I not often bumped into one. Within the pre-Internet era, any time Microsof company ran contrary to the would Office 2007 downlaod like with Lotus plus WordPerfect, that has been 1 produce news. This "everything even so the kitchen's sink" solution failed to often pay the balance of, however it ended up being one fashion to make an impression on personal computer journal evaluators selecting the "best" word brand (or even the "best" worksheet or "best" database).
